Each blend pairs the same Arabica base with a different functional mushroom: Focus uses Lion's Mane (mental clarity), Energy uses Cordyceps (natural stamina), and Defend uses Chaga (immune support). All three taste like clean, smooth coffee with a subtle earthy note. The Combo Trial packs three sachets of each so you can find the one that fits your daily practice.

The functional mushrooms in DOJO — Lion's Mane, Cordyceps and Chaga — are the subject of a growing body of research and have been used in traditional medicine practices for centuries. Our extracts are 500mg per sachet (333mg of each in Sensei), fruiting-body only, and independently lab-tested.

The fruiting body is the part of the mushroom you'd recognise — it's where most of the active compounds are concentrated. Mycelium is the root-like network grown on grain, and a lot of cheaper mushroom products are mostly mycelium-on-grain filler. We use fruiting-body only because that's what the research is based on and what carries the benefit. No mycelium, no carriers, no compromise.

We source our organic functional mushroom extracts globally from growers who meet our quality standard. Every batch is imported under Australian Biosecurity Permit 0010675530 and independently lab-tested for active compounds before it enters production. Blending and quality-testing happen in our Queensland manufacturing location (coffee blends) and in our Sydney location (Sensei).

No. Lion's Mane, Cordyceps and Chaga are functional mushrooms — they're used for their physical and cognitive effects, not psychedelic ones. They don't contain psilocybin or any other psychoactive compound, and they're legal to sell and consume in Australia.

Yes — every batch is independently lab-tested for active compounds (beta-glucans, polysaccharides) and screened for contaminants before it enters production. We don't sell anything we wouldn't pour into our own cup.

Make it the way you make your regular coffee. Hot: empty a sachet into your cup, add hot water, add milk or a milk alternative if you like. Iced: dissolve a sachet in a splash of hot water, pour over ice, top up with cold water or milk the way you do your usual iced coffee.

Approximately 70–80mg per sachet — similar to a single espresso shot. This comes entirely from the Arabica instant coffee; the mushroom extracts are caffeine-free. Sensei (pure extract, no coffee) has 0mg caffeine.

Most people have one or two a day — same as you'd have regular coffees. If you're caffeine-sensitive, start with one and see how you feel. The benefit of the mushroom extract builds with consistent daily use, so making it part of an existing ritual (rather than chasing a single cup) is the move.

Functional mushrooms are generally well-tolerated, but if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, on medication, or managing a medical condition, please check with your healthcare provider before adding DOJO to your daily practice.

Sensei is the pure extract — all three mushrooms (Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Chaga) blended together, with no coffee included. The coffee blends bundle one mushroom with Arabica in a single sachet for the morning cup. Sensei is the deeper practice — you stir it into whatever drink you're already making, anywhere in the day.

One 1g scoop per serve — the included scoop is measured. The 50g jar gives you 50 daily serves, so about seven weeks at one scoop a day.

Yes — many practitioners do. Stir a Sensei scoop into your Focus, Energy or Defend coffee, or have one in the morning and the other later in the day. Total daily mushroom intake stays comfortably within everyday research-backed ranges.
